Big Money Frenzy

Blueprint has made an unapologetically dated-looking game with Big Money Frenzy, and the screen is filled with gemstones, gold and luxury. Everything follows a pretty predictable and tried and tested formula, and this includes the theme, the math model and the features. You either like the whole Streak Respins thing, or you don’t. It’s as simple as that.
Blueprint has done more exciting things with the feature in previous releases, and nothing too daring is on display here. The regularStreak Respins featuremight lead to second-tierFrenzy Spins, which is more like a regular free spins feature, albeit with money symbol collect mechanics. If this sounds like your cup of tea, feel free to check out the full review and the 200 spins highlights video below.
Thegolden dollar sign tilesaremystery symbols, and these can land in stacks on all 5 reels. All instances of themystery stackswill open to reveal a randomly chosen matching pay symbol. However, they can also revealCash Value symbolsand/orFrenzy Spin symbols(more about that below).
Landing at least1 cash value symboltriggers theMoney Spin feature. This is a classicHold & Respins feature, where you start with3 respins. The triggering cash symbols are sticky on the reels, and new cash symbols also become sticky. You will land only cash symbols or blanks, and all new symbols you land resets the respins tally to 3 again.
When you run out of spins, or fill the screen with nothing but money symbols, the Money Spin feature is over. All the cash prizes are then summed up, unless you’ve also landed aFrenzy Spin symbol. If that’s the case, you trigger theFrenzy Spin feature, and this can only be done via the Money Spin feature.
The biggest difference between the 2 features is that the number of Frenzy Spins do not reset when you land money symbols. You get the same amount of Frenzy Spins as the number of triggering symbols you landed in the Money Spins feature. The good news is that you can land new Frenzy symbols during the feature, and this awards extra Frenzy Spins. All cash values are awarded on each Frenzy Spin, and all reel positions spin again each time.
We saw plenty of the mystery symbol feature in our test session, but seldom did it actually lead to anything of significance. The exception was when both money symbols, and a frenzy spin symbol, was revealed. This triggered both features, one after another, and we landed a pretty decent total win. Check it all out in the 3-minute highlights video below.
There is clearly a niche market for the old-school Streak Respins / Hold & Win feature, cause we keep seeing these kinds of games all the time. The Mystery Symbol feature is the only thing that keeps the base game going, and it’s mostly exciting because the golden tiles might open up to reveal cash symbols and frenzy spin symbols. You can only land payouts up to 500x from the regular pay symbols.
The Hold & Respin feature comes with 2 tiers, so to speak, but nothing truly new is brought to the table. There are no jackpots up for grabs like in many similar games, and we hardly think casinos need to worry too much about the£250,000 max win cap. Sometimes you’ll win solid amounts from a good Streak Respins streak, but it’s also possible to plow through both tiers with little to show for. Fans of old-school visuals and mechanics might feel at home here, but it will hardly be everyone’s cup of tea.
Pros
Cons
Vegas Cash Spins- is a casino-themed Hold & Respins title from Inspired Gaming, and it comes with 5 reels and 25 paylines. Expanding wilds can land on the 3 middle reels, and you can merge cash wheels in the Streak Respins feature for payouts up to 1,000x your stake.
Rhino Rampage Lightning Spins- is a Blueprint predecessor to the game at hand, and it comes with 5 reels and 25 win ways. The Hold & Respins feature comes with cash moon symbols and 3 fixed jackpots, while the bonus round comes with 3×3 colossal symbols.
Rolling in Gold- is a far superior Streak Respins title from Blueprint, at least in our view. It comes with a lot more personality, something the game at hand is totally missing, and the Hold & Win concept has been improved upon via the Diamond Spins multipliers that can lead to 50,000x payouts.
