Orca S Wild Bonanza

Boomerang Studios takes you deep beneath the surface in this water world release, and colorful corals and schools of fish can be seen through the semi-transparent 5×3 grid. The top-tier symbols are all sea creatures of different kinds as well, and you can see 3 of them on display to the left of the grid. The game goes in 3 spin cycles in that regard, activating up to all 3 of the top-tier symbols for possible wild transformation via the Contagious Wild feature.
Wilds are important in this game, and not only because they can help create line wins. Each wild also increases the WinMulti multiplier seen in the top left corner, and this multiplier only keeps building in the bonus round. The feature comes with 4 active top-tier symbols per spin, giving you more wild transformations which again increase the win multiplier. This can lead to payoutsup to 12,500x your stake, and Orca’s Wild Bonanza is overall a decent subsea installment that you may enjoy for a while.
The premium symbols pay between 1 and 6 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and you can also land aWild symbolthat steps in for all pay symbols to help complete and/or improve wins. The wild, which depicts an Orca jumping out of the water, pays the same as the top-tier dolphin symbol, but it cannot substitute for the 2 special symbols in this game.
Winning symbols are always removed from the grid via theCascading Wins mechanic, and the gaps are then filled by new and/or existing symbols dropping down from above. This process repeats for as long as you keep winning, and it can thus lead to prolonged winning streaks from a single spin.
TheWinMulti Multipliercan be seen up and to the left, and it starts at x1 for every base game spin. The WinMulti Multiplier increases by +1 per wild symbol you land, and this is a global multiplier that boosts all your line wins. The multiplier resets between base game spins.
TheContagious Wild Featurecomes with3 levels, and you cycle through these levels for every 3 spins. The dolphin is active on level 1, and you get the dolphin and the octopus symbols active on level 2. On level 3 the turtle symbol is also active, and you need a shell symbol adjacent to active symbols to turn them wild. The shell can only appear on reel 3, however, and the bonus round comes with a 4th level where the jellyfish is also active.
TheBonus Roundtriggers from3+ scattersin view, and this gives you5 free spins. The WinMulti Multiplier never resets for as long as the bonus round lasts, and losing spins don’t reduce your free spins tally. The WinMulti Multiplier is carried over to the bonus round from the base game, and all free spins play out on Contagious Wild level 4.
This means that the 4 top-tier symbols are active and can turn wild if adjacent to the shell symbol. The feature lasts until you run out of spins or crack the max win potential, and you can alsoretrigger the bonus roundby landing3+ scattersanywhere in sight on the same free spin.
You get to see a few base game wins here and there, before we trigger the bonus round at 1:11 into the 3-minute highlights video. We started with an x1 WinMulti Multiplier, unfortunately, and you can see for yourself how we fared by hitting the play button below.
Boomerang is an experimental developer that’s mostly known for their Lightning Chase releases, and they have come up with a somewhat unique multiplier system for Orca’s Wild Bonanza. The underwater visuals are decent, without being spectacular, and overall the game has a charming vibe with symbols popping off the grid via the cascading feature. The contagious wild system is a decent innovation as well, but it’s not always very effective.
Needing the shell symbol, which can only land on the middle reel, to transform the active symbols certainly puts a damper on the feature. Wilds increase the win multiplier only by appearing, which can lead to solid payouts, and you might wanna cross your fingers for plenty of losing spins with wilds in the bonus round. This is how you can close in on the12,500x potentialafter all, and Orca’s Wild Bonanza is a somewhat unusual oddball release that comes with its own quirks that some players may find enjoyable.
