Winter Fall

With the release of Winter Fall, developer Blueprint returns to the fantasy niche and takes players on an exciting reel adventure to the icy medieval kingdom. Packed with numerous features, it expands to over 250,000 ways to play at full capacity, where wins of up to 50,000x the stake are possible.
There’s a strong Game of Thrones feel to the game both in terms of the outer look and especially the music aspect, which sets you in the right mood for an epic treasure hunt. The backdrop showcases an impenetrable fortress, surrounded by colossal mountains and eternal ice. Blueprint has put a lot of effort into Winter Fall’s design, as it’s an absolutely striking slot to look. Anyway, dominating the view is what seems a common6x4 grid, producing4,096 win lines. However, itexpandsat a certain point during both the base and the bonus gamesup to 6×8, and the number of paylines can increase up to a staggering262,144, which is twice bigger than the Megaways power.
Playable on any device, the Winter Fall slot comes with a betting range of€0.2 to €10 per spin. Thevolatility is high, while theRTPis solid slightly above the average level at96.05%. Players can win up to50,000x the beton a single spin, or€250,000, whichever comes first.
You’ll need to land at least 3 matching symbols adjacently starting from the leftmost reel to score a payout, and bigger wins come from 6-of-a-kind wins. As we head over to the paytable, we see 12 regular symbols that are split into three categories. The lower section is made up of classic A-J royals paying0.2x the stakefor 6 instances on a line, and the mid-pays lot comprises four different shields, wroth0.5x – 0.6x. The premiums, in turn, include four character symbols, and we get in ascending order a maiden, a priest, a rogue, and a warrior, which pay from1.1x to 2.5x your bet. Finally, a coin symbol is Wild, and it substitutes for any other regular symbols to help you achieve wins, as well as contributes features, explained below.
Central to the gameplay is theCascading Winsfeature, which is available on any game stage. The feature comes into play after each win, removing the winning symbols from the reels to allow new ones to tumble down and fill the gaps. Cascades keep working until there are no more new wins to be scored.
That is linked to theWin X Multiplierfeature that is also available during both the base game and free spins. Whenever a Wild symbol lands anywhere in view, it contributes to the meter andincreases the current Multiplier value by +1, no limits, which is applied to all reel wins. However, it resets between the spins back to 1x.
Keep an eye for theColossal Mysterysymbols that can randomly appear on any spin. Those come2x2or3x3in size and reveal a random symbol except Scatters and Wilds upon landing. What’s more, Colossal Mystery symbolsalways award a win.
The actions amplify in theFree Spins, which is triggered when3 or more Scatter symbolsappear anywhere in view during the base game. Landing 3 Scatters award6 spinsto start with, and each additional Scatter gives+2 extra spins. The bonus game works in a similar way to the base game, though, with a few perks. First and foremost, theWin X Multiplieris sticky during the free games andstays active for the remainder of the feature. Moreover, players will also benefit from aMinimum Waysmodifier. It starts at 4,096 ways but grows after each winning spin up to a maximum of 260,144, and the active level persists until the bonus game ends. Finally, retriggers are possible, and players can receive additional spins by landing 3+ Scatters simultaneously during the Free Spins.
Winter Fall has a lot to offer for players to get stuck into, and given its massive potential, it falls straight into the big leagues. Although it offers little innovation, the features laid down here are bound to be enjoyed by slotters. The theme is also far from original, but it’s impressively done, much like the immersive epic soundtrack. All up, Winter Fall is a decent slot, and players really into the medieval fantasy thing will certainly appreciate Blueprint’s effort.
