Vegas Rush

The Megaclusters engine has admittedly not come anywhere close to being as successful as Big Time Gaming’s insanely popular Megaways engine. Still, in our view at least, the Megaclusters engine is far more satisfying to behold, and it’s a bit puzzling that it hasn’t taken off more than it has. Either way, it takes center stage in Vegas Rush, which is basically a combination of two previous Big Time Gaming releases.
You get Reaction Wins that turn symbols into 4 smaller symbols, and after that the reactions continue as the smaller symbols are replaced by new small symbols. Each consecutive reaction takes you up the modifier Megatrail, and this is also how you trigger the bonus round. It comes with an upgraded Megatrail, and you can win up to a solid47,200x your stake. We still think this engine is underrated, but perhaps less generic visuals would be a good idea next time.
You win by landing 5 to 25+ matching symbols in a cluster anywhere on the grid, the latter pays between 30 and 50 x your stake. Winning symbols are removed via theReactions mechanic, and each removed symbol is replaced by 4 smaller symbols.
If the smaller symbols form a cluster win, they are removed and replaced by new small symbols like with the regular cascading mechanic. The 5×5 grid can contain up to 100 symbols at best, thanks to theMegaclusters feature.
Landing consecutive reaction wins also means that you progress up the Megatrail Bonus Ladder seen on the left-hand side. Wild symbols can help you out in that regard, as they step in for pay symbols to help complete and/or improve cluster wins regardless of their size. TheMegatrailawards the following modifiers:
TheBonus Roundis secured once you reach the 7th rung on the Megatrail during base game play, and this gives you6 free spins. The Megatrail is upgraded in the bonus round, and it comes with 12 rungs and a top rung prize of 2,000x your stake. You get+3 extra spinswhen you reach rung 6, and you can win up to a total of 99 free spins if you’re lucky. Non-UK players, and anyone eligible, can purchase the bonus round for 60x the stake.
You get to see some decent base game wins, before we purchase the bonus round at 0:46 into the 7 minute highlights video. We can promise you lengthy cascades, and we also won extra free spins. You can check it all out for yourself by hitting the play button below.
You can’t really blame the crafty and innovative Aussies ‘down under’ at the Big Time Gaming headquarters for taking a short-cut once in a while. In Vegas Rush, they have clearly “copy-pasted” the visuals from Vegas Rush into the template for Millionaire Rush, both of which are solid installments in and of themselves. The result is not their most creative effort, of course, but Vegas Rush is still a highly playable, engaging, and potentially lucrative release.
Speaking of, you can win up to 33,050x your stake in the base game, andup to 47,200x your stakein the bonus round. The Megatrail system makes the base game far more engaging than what you get in the average release, and even more so in the bonus round. The Megaclusters mechanic is a joy to behold as usual, and lengthy cascades are highly satisfying even purely from an aesthetic viewpoint. The combination of Megatrail and Megaclusters is a winner the way we see it, but visually Vegas Rush can come across as a bit cold, impersonal, and generic.
